After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Economics, Chris went on to qualify as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton where he worked across a number of disciplines for 9 years before being recruited by the Co-operative Bank Plc to head up its Structured Finance Business.

Throughout an 11 year career with the Bank, Chris headed up its Specialised Lending Division managing the Banks’s structured and syndicated exposures alongside its Infrastructure, PFI and Renewable Energy portfolios. From 2012 he also took responsibility for managing the Bank’s Non-Core Division following the merger with Britannia Building Society and management of its problem exposures.

Since 2015, Chris has focussed on advisory and development work, primarily in the energy generation space having advised on in excess of 200MW of renewable transactions in addition to developing over 50MW of embedded generation. Today, Chris is a director of a number of private companies, mainly focussed on the energy sector and is a retained advisor to a major UK Bank on energy related transactions. He is responsible for commercial assessment, structuring and fund raising on Capitas Energy projects.
